Hugs and Feels — When I am Sad

In Hugs and Feels, cute little animal characters share every day moments. In this first book, little Calf is feeling really sad - and as the day goes on, things just keep getting sadder! But Cow is there for little Calf, no matter what. This book was made to support a moment for caregivers to share with their own little calf, and to introduce little ways to regulate emotions together.

I developed the concept and led story and art direction, collaborating with writer and Early Years teacher Lily Holland and illustrator Emily Spikings.

Created for i am a bookworm, the book forms part of a four-title animal series themed around Farm, Jungle, Forest and Pets.
